In 1955 Chris-Craft introduced the "Cobra". The boat was the very first in the Chris-Craft lineup to utilize a new material called fiberglass which had been used on Corvettes earlier in 1953. The model featured a single cockpit and was made in an 18 foot version and a 21 foot version as well. They were made for only one year and Chris-Craft made only 52 of the 18 foot version. This boat being offered is Hull #1 which was the parade marshall boat at the 1955 Lake Tahoe boat show. This boat is very original with newer upholstery and correct as per the build sheet in 1955. The boat also has a 5200 no soak bottom. These boats today are prized by collectors and sought after by those who appreciate this design from the 1950's.
