The first Formula 233 hull won the 1962 Miami-Nassau race, and launched the Formula brand with the Formula Junior. It is a very comfortable, seaworthy, and fast boat which remained in production for many decades. Has a great vintage look, yet it is also very practical. “Misty” was one of the first of its kind in the 1000 Islands, always kept indoors and in great condition. Completely original but has not been detailed, to be tip-top she needs teak trim varnished and upholstery cleaned and re-stapled. Overall she looks great and doesn't need anything to be used and admired. Twenty years ago she got a new engine, has sat unused for 15 years, put back in service with a little wrenching in 2015. Good compression. Exhaust manifolds and risers just replaced. Original fuel tank was bad, a new one has not been installed but the bay for it has been prepared. Runs like a champ! Used about 40 hours in 2016. This is an incredibly fun, fast boat ready for many more decades of use. September 2019 Update: A worn lobe on the camshaft was discovered, and the boat will need a new cam before being put back in the water. The price has been lowered by $1,500 to reflect this need.
