This boat was built in 1919 in Miami Beach by the Purdy Brothers. They worked almost exclusively for Carl Fisher, the developer of Miami Beach. It is the only known surviving Purdy built on Miami Beach. When they were promoting Miami Beach they would have races from there to places like Palm Beach and Cuba. This boat participated in those races, making her one of the first Off-Shore Race boats. We have owned her for 35 years, but have never put her in the water. We have kept her stored in a warehouse in Mount Dora, Florida. She has not been restored but is in amazingly good shape.
