It is mounted on a custom test stand with a closed cooling system. The engine is a 1939 configuration. As part of the rebuild the crank case was replaced with a later casting. Work done on the engine: Crankshaft ground and polished Crankcase replaced New pistons (NOS) New piston rings Cylinders bored,sleeved and honed, as necessary Cylinder blocks cooling jackets cleaned and flushed Cylinder blocks milled and flattened New valve seats and guides Valves ground and replaced as necessary Cylinder heads cleaned and flushed and tested for leaks (spare head included) Cylinder heads milled and flattened Cylinder studs tested and replaced as necessary (Scripps NOS) Oil pump rebuilt Distributor rebuilt Raw water pump rebuilt Carburetors (correct model) rebuilt and fitted Oil cooler replaced and tested Electrical system converted to 12V, Alternator fitted Transmission cleaned, inspected and adjusted Engine was "run in" for piston ring seating, tuning and testing. Oil drained and refilled.
