22 Feet 1935 Fitzgerald and Lee Commuter
The Fitzgerald and Lee company was based in Alexandria Bay and at one time was the largest dealer of Gar wood's in America. This is a very rare and unusual model made by this builder as it is a 22 foot Commuter which was configured to protect the original owner from inclement weather as he traversed back and forth from his Island in the 1000 Islands and mainland. This boat has only had 2 owners since new as it was bought from the original owner and has remained in the St. Lawrence River all of it's life. The boat itself has been completely re-done with a new bottom and is in Show Condition. Photos are available for those interested showing the work done during restoration as well as original paperwork showing the initial purchase.

26' Feet 1929 Fitzgerald & Lee Runabout
Built in Alexandria Bay, Fitzgerald and Lees were renowned for their design an craftsmanship. They were also the largest Gar Wood dealer This boat has a new WEST bottom, engine and gas tanks. The decks have been reconfigured to make a very nice split cockpit runabout. New hardware a upholstery make this a fun and easy to maintain recreational boat. Trailer reconditioned w/sandblast, military primer, finish coat dk green, new wiring/LED lights, New treated full length (30ft.) planking w/new industrial grade carpeting, re-packed bearings.

28 Feet 1942 Fitzgerald & Lee Commuter
Very unique, extremely rare Fitzgerald & Lee Commuter. Fitzgerald & Lee were a 1000 Islands builder located in Alexandria Bay, New York and at one time they were the largest and most prolific Gar Wood dealer in America. The boat they built all utilized hardware and gauge packages from Gar Wood and these boats were built specific to customer needs and usually stayed in the local area. The boat does need a full restoration but well worth it. All hardware, and gauges are present and the boat is complete . This could be the only one in existence. Riding on the unique open bow area would make one feel like a kid again. This is a very worthy project and deserves to be brought back to life.

28 Feet 1930 Fitzgerald & Lee Custom Launch
This is a 28' custom built, mahogany-planked, chauffeur-driven fishing boat that was ordered and delivered to Dewey Island, just opposite Alexandria Bay which opertaed from 1930-1950. While similar to other social/fishing launches, it differs from most in that it was planked smooth skinned design of lapstrake and has a large cockpit layout with a separating roll up window that gave the hull an opulence afforded by people such as the owner whom was the chairperson of the Republican party for the State of Delaware. Requires restoration but this boat has an incredible history. the boat was featured in Bob Speltz "The Real runabouts, Volume V" on page 145.
